Eobard Thawne was a Metahuman Speedster from the 25th century. He was a descendant of August Heart, known as the criminal Godspeed. Stealing Time Master technology, Thawne travelled back in time to meet his ancestor, only to discover he had been delivered a day after Heart's death. Unable to meet his ancestor, and unable to return home after his Time Master tech was permanently damaged.
