Mary Turner was an orphan living at St. Aden's Orphanage in Gotham City, who was among those chosen by the Court of Owls to be trained as an assassin, alongside Talon. Being one of the few to survive, she adopted the name Strix, and was often sent on missions to dispose of traitors of the Court.
