Supervillain Origins- The Scarecrow

Dr. Jonathan Crane is a former professor of psychology at Gotham University.

The Scarecrow is an overly-obessive and deranged ex-professor of psychology who uses a variety of drugs and psychological tactics to use the fears and phobias of his adversaries. He does not commit his crimes for wealth, but rather as a form of "research" to further study the effects of fear on humans (later, he does it to satisfy his own psychopathic desires), making the innocent citizens of Gothamhis unwilling guinea pigs.

Legacy[]

Scarecrow's toxin would be used for secret testings by Batman himself to be used in his contingency plans against the members of the Justice League, namely Aquaman and Green Lantern

Abilities[]

  • Fear Inducement: Through the use of his self made Fear Toxin, Scarecrow is able to induce a minor or extreme state of fear in his victims, depending on what dosage he uses at any given time. The toxin also allows him to induce fears in people that they'd previously not suffered from.
  • Master Manipulator: Scarecrow greatly understands the power and uses of fear. He even has a PhD in psychology. With this knowledge, he knows how to use words to affect a person's actions, once managing to drive two men to suicide with nothing but words.
