Raza Kattuah was a Metahuman and a citizen of Qurac. During the Metahuman Outbreak, Raza gained the ability to create and control fire, and used it to attack a small town in Qurac, freeing the imprisoned metahumans there. Kattuah founded a powerful team of metahumans called Onslaught, with the intention of taking over Qurac and the neighbouring countries as far as Kahndaq.
Together with Onslaught, Kattuah was able to invade and take control of most of Qurac including its capital city Dhabar, this beginning a civil war. The war raged for a number of weeks until they were defeated by the secret US metahuman unit Task Force X, with minor help from the Justice League.
