Flying Fox is a moniker for a vigilante based in Gotham City. A flying fox has existed for almost a century within the city, first appearing in the 1940's and later the 1970's. The latest appearing of the Flying Fox has been in modern day, with the current holder being Dann Bair, a newest member of the Justice League.

Reginald Rex Darrell, a former commander in World War II, returned to Gotham City, wanting to use what he had learned oversees to help the downtrodden citizens. One night, while tracking down a pirate gang at Gotham Harbour
