The Belle Reve Penitentiary, commonly known as Belle Reve, is a highly established military prison and sanatorium located in Terrebonne Parish in the state of Louisiana. To the general public, Belle Reve functions as an ordinary prison. However, to both the United States Government and the Justice League, it is known to house some of the worlds most powerful and dangerous metahuman and non-human criminals. Amanda Waller, propositioned the government to use a selected group of inmates to form her own expendable team to quietly handle international threats, forming Task Force X.
