Arthur Curry is a half-Atlantean, half-Human and the current King of Atlantis, known there at King Orin. In 2017, Arthur was recruited by Superman, and became a founding member of the Justice League following the defeat of the superpowered android A.M.A.Z.O., taking on the name Aquaman.

Early Life[]
Aquaman was born the son of lighthouse keeper Thomas Curry and Atlanna, an Atlantean who would eventually marry Nereus and becoming Queen of Atlantis. Unable to remain with Thomas, Atlanta left Thomas to raise Arthur in Amnesty Bay. From a. young age, Arthur was overly adventurous, and when he discovered he could breathe underwater, he attempted to leave home to find his mother, believing she had been a mermaid.

At some point before the A.M.A.Z.O. event, Arthur returned to Amnesty Bay, having heard that his father has passed away in his sleep. He discovered that his father had married a woman named Mary. Although sad and in mourning, he was still happy his father had found someone to spend the rest of his life with.
A few days later, Arthur attended Thomas' funeral. Needing an ally to watch over his fathers lighthouse, he gave it over to his friend Swatt, who aided him and Vulko to defeat Orm
