A.M.A.Z.O. was an advanced cybernetic android created by Anthony Ivo. Ivo had created the android with a powerful ability to replicate the powers and abilities of other beings. Ivo had worked with Lex Luthor and Maxwell Lord to bring the most powerful heroes together in order for A.M.A.Z.O. to wipe them out. However this ultimately brought the founding members of the Justice League together for the first time.
Though A.M.A.Z.O.'s physical body had been destroyed, A.M.A.Z.O.'s advanced intelligence was able to survive, later transferring into another android body, calling itself Armen Ikarus.
